Silversmithing 101 in Kodiak Gift Certificate (late July/August date TBD)

$215.00

This is a Class Gift Card, good for a seat in any Public Silversmithing 101 Class in late July or August of 2025 in Kodiak, Alaska.

*Must be redeemed or renewed by 12/31/25. Can be transferred to another person at no cost if the date selected for class doesn’t work.

See general class description below.

The cost of this Beginner Level Silversmithing Class includes a silversmithing toolkit rental, all silver needed to complete the ring, and a stone to set.

You will learn hands-on during this class as you practice soldering techniques, build a bezel to fit your stone, attach it to a ring (or two) you made yourself, and set a stone in it. You will first make two sterling silver bands, and choose between the two styles shown in this listing: A setting on a single band with a stacker, or a double band style. Afterwards you get to take home a sterling silver ring you’ve made entirely yourself!

READING GLASSES are probably a good thing to bring if you ever use them (even if you only occasionally use them for projects sometimes…bring them!).

Also please bring a sack lunch, snack, or make arrangements for a meal, as we will break from about 1 to 1:30 for lunch.

All materials needed to complete the class are provided, and you can bring a stone of your own to set, choose from stones included in the price, or purchase a high-grade stone from SPCS inventory.

*Any stone you bring must be a cabochon style or have a flat surface to balance on; no faceted stones for this class please! Your stone must measure no more than 3/4 inch in diameter (or at the widest point), and be no more than 3/8 inch in height at the thickest point.

Sweet Pea Custom Silver also offers Startup Silversmithing Kits and Silver Bundles for sale to help you get started on your own silversmithing journey. Please reach out with questions via email or the contact number here on my website.
